Broadway will hold its third Mid-Summer Celebration on the Village Green this coming Friday 25 June.**

The Mid-Summer celebration is organised by the Broadway Traders Association for the benefit of the community and is seen as a wonderful opportunity to 'put something back into the village'.. The event has now become established in the yearly Broadway Calendar and will be held, as usual, on the village green this coming Friday.

The event will be enjoyed by the local villagers and by the many tourists touring the Cotswolds at this time of year. One American from Chicago and his wife plus two children told Richard Pinder of Windrush Guest House that last year they enjoyed it so much - "a chance to enjoy a wonderful evening with the locals" that he said he would be coming back again this year!

**_Tickets available from most businesses in Broadway and available on the night
£3.50 per person (children under 15 free) includes entry to superb raffle_**

## THE EVENINGS LINE UP

### Scottish Pipers - from 5.30 by the Phantom Pipers Inc.

The pipes played by John Conroy and Larry Lindsey. This duo have been regular performers at Broadway events over the last several years.

### DJ - 6 to 7pm

The Disc Jockey will be young Scott Butcher who is well known on the youth scene because of his work at Youth Clubs and social events at local churches.

### Top Billing

### Rock Group - READY STEADY GO - 8 to 9pm & 9.30 to 10.00pm

**Ready Steady Go needs no introduction being a well known local band, run by Paul Harper, for the last 20 years and playing 70's and 80's rock. Their previous popularity and success will ensure the celebrations go with a swing.**

### The Rock Band ZILCH - 7 TO 8PM

The young local pop group Zilch will be performing live on stage - the operative word is YOUNG - like 15, 16 - except their drummer is **only 12** and is the son of one of the chefs at The Lygon Arms.

Here's what the Moles Club Review said about them from a recent performance:-

'**_And they were amazingly good, playing with the cool that comes from being totally into it ...........gets big credibility respect .........and the drummer - well, he'd be impressive at two to three times his age ..........Zilch truly is a band with a future, and lots of it._**'

### Comedy Fun & Magic by Ray Del-Nevo

Ray has got 30 years experience in making magic and baffling his audience.
He will be walking around the tables of picnickers enthralling them
with his tricks and, always a favourite, balloon bending.
