The village of Bampton in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds is one of the oldest and prettiest villages in the area, retaining much of the character of the traditional Cotswold village. It is also a hive of activity, with a many events taking place throughout the year, with something for everyone. The people are friendly, and visitors are warmly welcomed, especially if they frequent one of the many pubs in the Village.

The Village is a wonderful mixture of the ancient and the new. Many of its buildings are 300 to 400 years old, and with many stories to tell. It has many traditions, some ancient, some relatively new, but all maintain a unique culture that is Bampton.

Bampton is situated in West Oxfordshire, close to Burford, Faringdon and Witney and near the upper reaches of the River Thames. Boats are available for hire at Radcot and Lechlade, only a few miles away.
